Paris Attacks: Residents use #PorteOuverte hashtag to offer shelter to the stranded

Paris residents used the hashtag #PorteOuverte, which translates to 'open door', on Twitter to offer shelter to those stranded in the city after dozens of people were killed in several "unprecedented" attacks across France's capital.

Dozens of people were killed on Friday night in what appeared to be a series of coordinated terrorist shootings  outside bars, restaurants and a rock concert hall in eastern Paris.

"If you’re in Paris and trying to find shelter, browse the #PorteOuverte hashtag. People are welcoming you! Don’t stay outside!" one account tweeted.

*RT Please* Any non-French speakers/natives in #Paris check #porteouverte if you need shelter/place to stay temporarily #solidarity #france
