Paris attacks: Inside the Saint-Denis apartment where Abdelhamid Abaaoud and Hasna Ait Boulahcen were killed

Photos have emerged showing the inside of the Paris apartment where Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the suspected architect of the Paris attacks, was killed along with two other people.

Police raided the apartment in the neighbourhood of Saint-Denis in the north of the city early in the morning of 18 November.

During the raid an explosion tore through the apartment 

The apartment was all but destroyed in the raid following an explosion, thought to have come when one of the apartment's occupants detonated a suicide vest.

Three people, including Abaaoud, were killed in the blast.

It is reported that police had fired some 5,000 rounds during the raid

It was originally thought the suspected suicide bomber was Hasna Ait Boulahcen, Abaaoud's cousin, who was in the flat, but her body was reportedly "intact" when it was taken to the hospital.

The apartment was all but destroyed in the raid

During the raid, about 5,000 rounds were fired and the bullet marks can be seen in the photos, obtained and first published by the UK's ITV News.

The Paris attacks killed 130 people. One of the suspected attackers remains on the run.
