Paris attacks: Getaway car found, as six more arrested and it emerges attacker Omar Ismail Mostefai was known to security services

Several Kalashnikov rifles have been found in the car gunmen used to fire at people in restaurants during Friday's series of deadly attacks in Paris, as authorities named one of the attackers and arrested six people in connection with the killings.

Police said the black Seat car was located in the city's eastern suburb of Montreuil. An alert had been issued about the vehicle, warning the public not to approach it due to fears it may have been rigged with explosives.

It comes as French authorities named one of the attackers as Omar Ismail Mostefai, a French citizen with a criminal record. Mr Mostefai was known to security services, but never spent time in jail, Sky News reported.

Paris prosecutor Francois Molins told Sky News Mr Mostefai had been found guilty eight times for a series of petty crimes from 2004 to 2010, but spent no time in jail.

Mr Molins also claimed that Mr Mostefai had been blacklisted by the police as a target for radicalisation in 2010.

Six people close to Mr Mostefai, including his father, brother and sister-in-law have been arrested, according to AFP.

Identified by his finger, which was found among the rubble of the Bataclan concert hall, Mr Mostefai was one of three men who opened fire on those at the sell-out show - killing 89 people.

Those killed at the venue are among at least 129 people killed in the series of attacks, which also targeted people at restaurants and fans attending a France vs Germany football match.
