Parineeti Chopra shares all that she's doing to lose 15 kilos that she gained for Chamkila

Actor Parineeti Chopra took to social media to share two big news: one about her weight loss journey and next about her new project for which she had to gain 15 kilos. Parineeti will be seen in Chamila which will premiere on Netflix soon.

"I spent 6 months this year singing in Rahman sir’s studio, & going back home to eat as much junk as I possibly could to put on 15 KILOS for Chamkila! (Coming soon on Netflix)

Music and Food. That was my routine.

Now that the film is done, the story is completely the opposite," she writes on social media.

Parineeti isn't new to losing weight. Her weight loss journey, which she had attained few years back, was a huge inspiration for many youngsters.

She had incorporated martial arts into her fitness routine. Parineeti had learned the martial art, Kalaripayattu, when she was trying to lose weight. Kalaripayattu is an ancient Indian martial art form that originated in the southern state of Kerala. With roots dating back over 3,000 years, it encompasses a comprehensive system of physical, mental, and spiritual training. The practice integrates striking techniques, kicks, grappling, weaponry, and healing methods, making it a holistic discipline. In terms of fitness, Kalaripayattu offers a unique blend of cardiovascular exercise, strength training, flexibility, and mental focus. The dynamic movements and intricate sequences engage various muscle groups, promoting overall strength and endurance. The art's emphasis on agility and speed enhances cardiovascular fitness, while the diverse range of techniques hones flexibility and balance.

She had lost 28 kilos with just good diet and regular physical activity.

In the recent video, we see her doing lunges and backpress workout like a pro. Just when procrastination is the excuse for many of us, Parineeti sets a new goal everytime she embarks on a fitness journey.
