Parents are being warned to ignore a text saying "Hi Mum" as it could be scammers trying to get your cash.
People have reported receiving a message from a regular '07' number pretending to be from their child.
The first text that arrives is a text claiming to be a child. They pretend they are trying to text their mum. They refer in the text the recipient as 'mum' and say their phone is broken and that need some 'urgent' help.

Some messages ask parents to message on WhatsApp through a different number that they text off originally.
One text a parent received said: "Hi mum, I'm texting you off a friend's phone, I've lost mine and their phone is about to die. Can you Whatsapp my new number 0794715376, I need a favour it's urgent x"
The hacker will go on to ask if the person can send them money if the person responds thinking it is their child.
Parents across social media have tried to warn each other and have shared the messages they have received.
Marj Jady said: "I had this, then they ask can you lend them money, my daughter was with me so we knew it was a scam."
Other social media users have commented on the posts calling them "heartless" and "disgusting".
