Parents up in arms as disgraceful graffiti saying certain child 'has aids' appears on Dublin footpath

Parents have been left furious and disgusted with a recent image of graffiti that was sprayed in huge letters on a Dublin footpath.

In white chalk against the dark ground, the disgraceful writing says that a certain child from the northside area of Castleview "has aids" as part of a prank played by another group of youths.

Majority of the parents in the area were unable to see the funny side to the offensive phrase, asking for the council to remove it as soon as possible.

One concerned resident wrote: "It is with absolute disgust that I have to post this image.

"We have removed the name tagged on this vulgar graffiti which was chalked on the road on Castleview Drive today.

"Offensive graffiti of all kinds is abhorrent and will not be tolerated. The full image has been forwarded to the community gardai."

Another angered parent said: "Too many people making light of this. May not be a police matter but it's wrong to excuse it in any way."

One shocked local added: "A child's writing and all going by that. They're young and shouldn't even know what that is."

Thankfully, it has since been washed away with parents pleading to other mams and dads to chat to their kids and make them aware of the incident.
