An couple expecting their first baby have sparked outrage after begging neighbours to donate elaborate paleo meals on a crowdsourcing page.
Jim and Alex Burns, of Fishtown, Philadelphia, are expecting their first child on April 29.
And to prepare for their new arrival, they've asked neighbours to donate therapy, elaborate meals, and help with their household chores on a crowdsourcing page.
The page was posted on crowdsourcing website Meal Train - a social media network that allows friends, neighbours, and loved ones to make and donate meals for those recovering from surgery, an illness, or the birth of a baby.

The expecting parents, however, took it a little too far when asking for help with food - posting a list of 30 elaborate dishes that neighbours could choose to make for them.
Recipes the the parents-to-be asked to be made for them - at no cost to themselves - included "Paleo breakfast egg muffins with thinly sliced cremini mushrooms, pork breakfast sausage and three tablespoons of melted and cooled ghee".
They also asked for "spiced lentil, sweet potato and kale whole wheat pockets" and "salmon sweet potato cakes".

The high-maintenance duo kindly let people know that they "try to avoid sugar wherever possible and eat whole, simple foods".
Soon-to-be dad Jim went on to say in the controversial post that they didn't want to be "distracted" by anyone delivering the free food, so he was going to "put a big white cooler in the side yard".
"As the father-to-be, I'm teetering on a fence of emotions.
"One of the things I'm most afraid of is not getting a great deal of sleep and as a result not being in the best frame of mind to offer my wife the support she needs to recover from the child-birthing process," he wrote.

"That's why I'm putting together this 'Meal-Train' or 'Mental-health check-in train' or 'Do you need any help today train'. A meal would be awesome. If you feel comfortable reaching out before you arrive to see if we might need anything else - that'd be even more awesome."
The pair also asked people to volunteer to wash their dishes or walk their dog if they can't provide them with meals.
The crowdsourcing page has now been deactivated after the fussy pair were slammed on social media after their list of demands on Twitter .

"Turns out they are in fact asking total strangers to help them and with the most millennial phrasing I have ever seen in my life," Twitter user @JJFromTheBronx said.
The crowdfunding site with the pair's list of outrageous requests was also shared to a Nextdoor shaming Twitter account.

The Twitter account, created to share the highlights of neighbourhood social media posts, urged people to make mashed potato for the couple, which the picky pair kindly listed on the crowdfunding page as a food that "Alex really dislikes".
"Meal Trains are set up by a friend of the family, to support them. We do this at church, we all pitch in and drop off meals. This is the first self serve set up I have ever seen, and it looks like they need to move back home," one Twitter user posted.
Another posted "well I think we’ve unraveled the mystery of why they don’t have actual friends to come check in on them".

Another pointed out that the pair could have done their own meal prep in the time that it took them to come up with their complex list of demands.
Following the surge of backlash, the fussy duo have deactivated their Meal Train page.
