The countdown to Christmas is officially on as the high street stores battle for our hard-earned cash in the build up to the big day.
LOL Surprise dolls have become one of the breakout must-have toys in recent years and parents are loving a bargain buy from the collection on sale at Primark.
The store is offering shoes featuring the popular characters which light up as you walk for just £12 a pair.
One savvy shopper spotted the deal and posted it to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook , which boasts more than a million followers.
After uploading a video showing the trainers in action with the caption 'LOL fans - only £12 in Primark - flashing trainers', the post attracted almost 3,000 comments from other parents looking to get their hands on a pair.
One said: "Looks like you need a trip to Primark, Sophie would love these!"
Another said: "My daughter has these and loves them! The silver material is shiny too!"
A third commented: "Omg totally love these."
Not everyone was convinced by the offer, with others saying they thought the trainers were 'hideous'.
One unimpressed member said: "You couldn't pay me to put these on my child, LOL fan or not. Slipping Primark!"
A second argued: "I think they look awful BUT I know my girl would love going out to play in them, not special occasion footwear, who cares if they are tacky if puts a smile on their face?"
With Black Friday just around the corner, many others are leaving their Christmas shopping until November 29 as they hope to snap up a few more bargains.
A host of retailers will be taking part including Asda, Amazon and Argos, offering deals on Christmas favourites such as toys, technology and make-up.
