The parents of Harry Dunn are flying to the US this weekend to fight for a face-to-face meeting with President Donald Trump .
Harry 19, suffered fatal injuries when his motorbike was struck by a car driven by spy’s wife Anne Sacoolas, 42.
Earlier this week Trump waded into the international diplomatic immunity row and was con- demned for his clumsy analysis of Harry’s death.
But in a follow up press conference the US leader softened his stance, revealing mum-of-three Sacoolas was “being spoken to” and that “we’re trying to work something out.”
Harry’s mum Charlotte Charles, 44, and his dad Tim Dunn, 50, are set to land in America tomorrow.
They will continue their fight for justice by giving interviews on major news channels.
Lawyer Radd Seiger, who is representing the family, is understood to have arrived in Washington DC last night for talks. He said: “Bringing her back to Britain is our priority.”
Prime Minister Boris Johnson yesterday revealed that this is unlikely.
He said: “America is reluctant to allow its nationals to be tried overseas. We’ve got to keep working to get justice for Harry.”
In a post on the GoFundMe page, Harry's family said: "We are overwhelmed by the generosity and the support from all of you, and want to say thank you again personally from the bottom of our hearts.
"We couldn't do this without you and value each and everyone of you! The individual comments and personal stories that have been coming into us have touched our hearts and we know that we are not alone.
"We wanted to share with you that on Sunday we will be flying to the US to continue our fight for justice4harry.
"We will be meeting with various news channels to spread our campaign with all of America and ultimately hope that the American government see that it is right to send Anne Sacoolas back to the UK to face our justice system."
