NHS Fife has urged parents of babies and children under five to avoid tap water whilst Scottish Water deal with supply issues turning the water brown.
Many parts of Fife have experienced discoloured water for several days, thought to be due to high demands causing sendiment deposits to flow into the system.
Now, NHS Fife has urged parents in Glenrothes and surrounding areas not to use the water for drinking or making up baby formula.

They said the level of impurities in the water was unknown.
They said on Facebook : "Scottish Water has an ongoing issue with discolouration issues in the Glenrothes/Thornton/Leslie/Markinch and surrounding areas.
"As the level of impurities in the water is unknown at present it is suggested that parents and carers prepare Baby Formula Milk using bottled water that has been boiled rather than using perfect prep machines.
"Scottish Water is recommending that parents and carers of babies and children under five years old do not drink or use the water to make up Baby Formula Milk."
It is thought hot weather over weekend prompted high levels of demands, which can cause deposits in the bottom of pipes which feed water to homes to become dislodged.
