Taking to Facebook, consumer website Which? has warned parents that they should check their child's car seat.
The warning comes after an urgent recall by Cosatto due to safety issues concerning the buckle on its All in All+ and All in All Rotate car seats due to potentially defective components used in the manufacture process.
The company affected, Cosatto, is offering a free replacement buckle for all those that purchased an affected product.
Customers who own one of these multi-group car seats (Groups 0+/1/2/3) for children from birth up to 36kg (approximately 12 years old) should stop using the car seat immediately and contact Cosatto.
If you’ve purchased one of the following models of Cosatto car seat, and it has a batch number between 37/2019 and 06/2020 then it is affected by this safety alert.

How do I find the batch number?
To find the batch number on your Cosatto car seat look at the rear of the seat. There should be a sticker on the right-hand side – the batch number is the right-most number and has the form (WW/YYYY).
If you are still unsure if your product is affected, use Cosatto’s online form to check and order a replacement buckle.
What should I do if I have an affected car seat?
Which? state: "If you have purchased one of the affected models you should stop using the car seat and contact Cosatto to order a replacement buckle.
"If you have already registered your car seat purchase with Cosatto, then the company should have already been in contact about the issue and to organise a replacement buckle.
"If not, you can: Order a replacement buckle with Cosatto’s online form Phone on 08000 149252 (for Republic of Ireland +448000 149252). The replacement buckle should be dispatched on a next working day delivery service."
What have Cosatto said about the car seat recall?
Manufactures for Cosatto’s have said: "As part of an ongoing program of continual product assessment, we have identified a potential safety concern relating to the buckle used in the production of a small batch of car seats manufactured between September 2019 and June 2020 as shown.
"Unfortunately, the manufacture of some of the buckles did not reach the exacting standards set by our quality and safety protocol and contain components that can potentially become defective.
"We are truly sorry that this has happened. We are a values-driven, family business who want to do the right thing and have taken this action to ensure the safety and well-being of the children of valued customers like you."
