Parents in Ireland who have purchased children’s toys on Amazon in recent months are being alerted to one specific toy as a recall is published.
The safety issue was identified by the Competitions and Consumer Protection Commission with myHodo Magnetic Balls which are widely sold on the platform.
According to its alert: “The risk associated with the product is that of Injuries. If a child swallows two or more magnets with a magnetic flux above the permitted limit, the magnets may attract each other and cause internal obstruction and/or perforation”.

The brand is myHodo and the model type/model number is Magnetkugeln bunt 5 mm.

The barcode is Unknown and the Amazon item number is Unknown.
MyHodo has confirmed this product was sold online through the Amazon platform to customers in the Republic of Ireland.
What to do:
Officials have advised that: “If you purchased one of these products, please discontinue use immediately, discard the product immediately, and keep it out of the reach of children.
“You may wish to contact Amazon to see if there are any remedies available to you. This can be done via your user account on the platform”.
