A group of concerned parents managed to stop and detain a suspected drink driver outside a high school in Wigan.
Police were called to reports of a potential drink driving incident near Shevington High School, on Shevington Lane, early this morning (Thursday, November 4).
They thanked quick-thinking members of the public for stopping the driver.

The driver in question was then arrested on nearby Mile Lane, Shevington, when officers arrived at the scene.
In a post on Facebook, a spokesperson for GMP's Wigan West unit thanked the bystanders for their help.
They said: "Officers attended an incident this morning of a drink driver.
"The driver was arrested at the scene on Miles Line, Shevington after being detained by concerned parents near to Shevington High School.
"We'd like to thank the members of the public for their quick thinking, robust action and help in this community action."
