Parents astonished after furious neighbour sends note grumbling about rowdy kids

An aggrieved neighbour has sent an astonishing note to parents grumbling about their nosy children.

The note, which was sent to a shocked and taken aback mum and dad, requested that their children keep the noise to a minimum as their alleged "very loud voices" were apparently disturbing the "peace".

Within the note, the neighbour also wrote that they had "endured" many months of "construction noise" as a result of the family's renovations to their property.

The pair were evidently gobsmacked by the letter - that had been sent to them through their letterbox - so they proceeded to share its contents in full on the social media site Facebook.

According to Yorkshire Live, the note began with a sarcastic tone as the neighbour congratulated the parents on their recent home developments - before quickly moving on to say the renovations had been irritating them for "many months".

The note said: “Congratulations on your renovations. Your neighbours have endured many months of construction noise and now we're being disturbed by your kids in the backyard early in the morning.

"We wish to request that you keep your young kids indoors until 9am.

“There have been many occasions in recent times when your kids are out in the backyard early in the morning and they have been very loud and noisy. They are disturbing the peace in the neighbourhood and waking people up.

“Sometimes they are out very early around 7:30am and unfortunately they have very loud voices. Your son in particular is always screaming at the top of his voice.”

The note then adds: "Kids will be kids but I'm simply asking if they can go out later so your neighbours are not awoken too early in the morning.

“Thank you for your co-operation and appreciate your kind understanding.”

Many on social media were left shocked by the note, with some suggesting that the neighbour was being unnecessarily rude - especially considering it is the summer holiday period.

Others branded the note "ridiculous" and said the sender "seriously" needs to look at themselves.
