The second episode of series 2 of Be's parenting podcast Is This Normal? is now live.
This week we chat with Gemma Winter, Antenatal Education Co-ordinator for the Southern Trust about all things pregnancy.
The seven-part series Is This Normal?, hosted by journalists and mums Sheena McStravick and Sarah Scott is a weekly podcast that will discuss topics that most parents can relate to from sleep and nutrition to screen time, first aid and much more.
In episode 2, Gemma provides tips for packing your hospital bag, advice for labour and general reassurance and support for expectant mums.
Asked how the pandemic has changed antenatal services, Gemma explained that regardless of the pandemic, no mum should feel they cannot seek out help if they feel they need it.
"If there was something untoward it's not worth taking the risk, our babies are too precious... and we want you to know we are definitely always there to help in any way. Don't hang about, we would rather you ring and get checked over..." she said.
