Parent's heartbreak as tributes pour in after young Tipperary man dies suddenly

Tributes have flooded in after the sudden death of young Tipperary man Conor Moroney.

The Clonmel man, aged in his 30s, sadly died on Thursday evening at South Tipperary General Hospital after falling ill.

The locality has been left heartbroken by the news with many offering their thoughts to the family.

A spokesperson for local GAA club Clonmel Commercials said: "The club sends its sympathies to the family and friends of Conor Moroney who has passed away.The Moroneys have a long association with our club.

"Conor's father Séamus is a former committee member, coach and player and Conor himself played with the club underage. We were all very sad to hear of his passing. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam."

Conor is one of four siblings and was well-known in the locality.

A funeral is set to take place early next week and will be live streamed due to current Covid restrictions.

A post on RIP.ie says: "The death has occurred of Conor Séamus Moroney, Caherclough, Lisronagh, Clonmel, Co Tipperary.Conor passed away on Thursday evening at South Tipperary General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

"Pre-deceased by his niece baby Fíadh, he will be sadly missed by his heartbroken parents Séamus and Noreen, sisters Lisa, Róisín and Ciara, nephews Dean and Seán Óg, brother-in-law Seán, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

May He Rest in PeaceA private Funeral Mass will be held in Ss. Peter & Paul’s Church on Tuesday at 1.00pm. Those who cannot attend can watch live via the Ss. Peter & Paul’s Church livestream service www.churchservices.tv/clonmelpeterpaul. Burial will take place afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a Anam Dílis."
