Paramilitary Crime Task Force detectives charge man over drug offences

A man in his 40s has been charged by detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force.

The 43-year-old is due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates Court later this month on charges of possession of a class A drug and possession of a class A drug with intent to supply.

It follows an operation against the South East Antrim UDA in the Larne area on January 25, 2019.

The man charged is due in court on May 23.

Meanwhile, a 41-year-old man has been charged with possession of Class A and B drugs following an operation against the South East Antrim UDA in the Carrickfergus area in September 2017.

Police say quantities of cocaine and cannabis were seized. He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on May 24.
