Paramedics treat a child reportedly hit by a car near Marketown

NSW Ambulance.

Paramedics have been called to Steel Street near Marketown carpark after reports a child has been hit by a car.

The child, believed to be aged around 10, has reportedly suffered minor leg injuries, spokespeople for NSW Ambulance and police have said.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Parry and Steel streets in Newcastle West around 3.30pm. Five NSW Ambulance crews have responded to the call and police are on the scene.
