Paramedics were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the Pacific Highway at Belmont North Thursday night.

NSW Ambulance crews arrived at the Highway and Wommara Avenue around 8.30pm after reports two vehicles had been involved in a crash near a traffic light.

Paramedics treated one woman, believed to be aged in her 20s, for minor injuries. She was expected to be taken to hospital for further treatment, a spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said.

Traffic was heavy around the crash site and drivers were urged to exercise caution and allow extra time.
