Steph McGuire's Paralympics dream has ended in disappointment after GB crashed out of the BC4 Pairs tournament at the group stages.
Wins over Brazil and Canada weren't enough for a semi-final place, as world champions Slovakia and Portugal ran out winners in crucial games.
McGuire, Louis Saunders and Evie Edwards started well with a 6-4 win over Brazil on Thursday morning, but then lost 8-0 to world champions Slovakia the same day.
Hopes were raised on Friday with a brilliant 5-2 win over Canada, but they then lost 3-1 to Portugal.
That was an unfortunate continuation of form from the individual competition, where McGuire lost 4-1 against Hong Kong's Wong Kwan Hang and a 6-0 loss to Colombian Euclides Grisales, either side of an impressive 3-2 win over Shun Esaki of Japan.
Speaking after the defeat to Portugal, McGuire said: "I’m really disappointed.

"There’s nothing I would have loved more than to bring home a medal for Paralympics GB.
"It’s been my dream but it’s been a fantastic tournament. The third end was where the game turned around, so credit to Portugal.”
There was one ray of light for the team, however, following their win earlier in the day.
McGuire said: "Canada’s been a rival for us for well over a decade so it’s a really nice win."
The Hamilton 37-year-old was also full of praise for Slovakia on Thursday, and said: "They are very, very strong, physically, and that shows why they're world champions and Paralympic champions.
"We could have been a bit more clinical. We were creating opportunities, we just needed to take them."
