A variety of superfoods from the North will take centre stage during the "Royal Project Gastronomy Festival" at Siam Paragon, Rama I, from tomorrow Nov 30 to Dec 7.

Held with the aim to enhance Thai people's health, the festival will bring healthy and nutritious foods cultivated and produced at the Royal Agricultural Station Inthanon in Chiang Mai.

The products are the result of the Royal Project Foundation's continuous research and development on various species of fruit and vegetable which has made the foundation a significant producer of superfoods of Thailand today.

At least 10 categories of fresh superfoods will be available at a contemporary-style flea market set up at the Parc Paragon. They include organic rice farmed on highlands by Thai hilltribes; cereals such as quinoa and red and white kidney beans; portobello and monkey head (yamabushitake) mushroom; vegetable and herbs; super fruits such as figs, hass avocado, kiwi, cape gooseberry and passion fruit; chicken and processed chicken products; fish and processed fish products; drinks; ingredients; and healthy snacks.

Shoppers will learn more about the benefits of superfoods in an exhibition at the Hall of Fame, M floor while a selection of 30 exclusive menus prepared by top restaurants using premium ingredients from the Royal Project will be served at the Gourmet Garden on the ground floor and Food Passage on the 4th floor until Dec 23.
