In the stands lining Trocadéro — the complex on the opposite side of the River Seine to the Eiffel Tower — a large crowd has gathered to watch the Parade of Nations on four huge screens. The atmosphere is lively as officials and delegates join the spectators in cheering for each country as they are announced to the crowd.

Despite the rain, the spirits remain high as spectators make use of umbrellas and ponchos provided to them. The athletes, upon disembarking from their boats, will walk across a platform set up for the occasion. Notably, French President Emmanuel Macron and International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach are seated in the far stand, overseeing the Eiffel Tower-shaped walkway where the athletes will pass.
