Parade of bison creates a ‘Montana traffic jam’

Traffic came to a standstill on both sides of Highway 2 on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Montana on Thursday when a parade of bison crossed the highway with a momma and baby bison bringing up the rear.

“We’ve got a Montana traffic jam dead ahead,” said Debra Linn in the video she shot and was featured by KRTV on Saturday.

Linn told KRTV that the police from the Blackfeet Indian Reservation blocked the road to allow the herd safe passage across the highway.

Stealing the show was the momma bison having to coax the baby bison along. It finally abided and traffic resumed.

Linn and the others were returning home to Great Falls from Glacier National Park, which is to the northwest.

“Happens all the time between Browning and East Glacier,” one commenter said on the KRTV Facebook page.

But do they all have the cuteness factor like this one?
