Paraag Marathe has sent a defiant financial message with Leeds United on their way back to the English Premier League.
Marathe is the club's chairman, the president of 49ers Enterprises, and the executive vice president of their football operations.
Leeds are controlled by 49ers Enterprises, who, along with Andrew Cavenagh, are set to acquire a majority stake in Rangers.
The Elland Road side have been promoted back to the promised land of England's top flight, and Marathe says the club will get his and 49ers Enterprises' undying financial support: "Whatever they will let us spend, we'll spend," he said [Financial Times].

Why facing Celtic is 'totally different' to any other Scottish Premiership game
"I can comfortably say that we are going to spend the very last penny that we can.
"It's what we need to go full tit for the next three years. I'm under no illusions that it's going to be.
"There's an argument to be made that there's a widening gap. With all due respect to the other clubs, I think we're different.
"We have an opportunity, and we have scale that nobody else has. We are not taking any dividends out of the club, nor will we ever. This is just about trying to make money to put it right back in, can get us as competitive as we can be."
Rangers issued a statement on the potential takeover at Ibrox last month. It read: "Rangers and its existing controlling shareholders are in productive conversations with the two lead members of the Consortium, Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises Global Football Group, about the potential for the Consortium to acquire control of the club and to inject additional capital.
"These discussions reflect a shared recognition of the importance of Rangers FC's long-term direction, ambitions and management."
