Para World Cup: Saysunee bags two gold medals

The Thai wheelchair fencing team continued its impressive performance at the 2026 World Para Fencing World Cup in Bradenton, Florida, securing two gold medals, one silver, and one bronze on Friday.

Saysunee Jana claimed her second gold medal of the tournament, showcasing her excellence to win the women's individual epee Class B. The 51-year-old won gold in the women's individual foil Class B on the first day of competition on Wednesday.

Thai wheelchair fencing icon Saysunee has won five Paralympic gold medals, including three from the most recent Games in 2024 in Paris.

Thai athletes also performed well in the men's epee Class B, with Chitiphan Charoenta winning silver and Wisit Kingmanao securing bronze.

The Thais will compete in three mixed team events -- foil open, epee open and sabre open -- on the last day of the tournament.

Impressive show: Saysunee Jana.
