Papers gloat over fall in MySpace popularity

Is this a case of wishful thinking by old media? Both the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal report that Myspace.com is losing its popularity after a Nielsen/Net-Ratings study claimed participation has dropped by 4%. Both, of course, gloat about Rupert Murdoch's NewsCorp having paid $580m for MySpace. (Via Editors' weblog)
