Paper Towns by John Green

Paper Towns follows the narration of the main character, Quentin Jacobsen, in his adventure to find the mysterious Margo Roth Spiegelman after she goes missing following an eventful night the two shared together.

Despite the fact that some bits were a bit too dragged-out for my liking, which the book could've done without, I loved this book. As is always the case with John Green, I've found, all the characters in this book were individual and detailed in their descriptions and behaviour, my favourite being Margo. Her character ends up being a mystery to the other characters too, so it felt as though I was uncovering her personality at the same time as the characters in the book.

My favourite quote from this book was "Just remember that sometimes, the way you think about a person isn't the way they actually are." I felt this quote was very relevant both in the book and in everyone's life, and I like how it's used in the book as Quentin realising that he never thought of Margo as a person, just as a series of events.

I found Paper Towns quite relatable and amusing, and thought it ended perfectly for the kind of story it tells. I would probably recommend it with a 7/10.
