Paper's ombudsman gets the chop

Hard to escape the irony of the latest cutback at California's Sacramento Bee newspaper: the position of ombudsman has been axed. Armando Acuña explains why his departure to a features post, "as a result of declining revenues and a reorganisation of resources", amounts to "a step back in the paper's relationship with its readers".
