A free French newspaper, 20 Minutes, got a terrific scoop by publishing a full-page picture of an iPhone on the opening day of the Apple Expo in Paris. But there was one problem: the photo was a fake, and there was no iPhone. Executive editor Frédéric Filloux thought the picture, supposedly first published in the British edition of MacUser magazine, was designed by a journalist who wanted such a phone to exist. François Rondeau, product marketing director for Apple France, said: "People naturally fantasise about what we will do next." (Via International Herald Tribune)
