A Japan Airlines airplane arriving at Narita Airport from Delhi became stuck on a taxiway at around 6:55 a.m. on Friday after its left tires veered off the pavement.
According to JAL, all 201 passengers and crew aboard the plane were uninjured. Icy pavement due to snow that started the night before is believed to have caused the accident.
The 4-kilometer Runway A has been closed since 7 a.m., causing some flights to be rerouted.
The Narita International Airport Corp., the operator of the airport, resumed its operation on the runway at 2:50 p.m. on the day.
