Papa John's looking to pay someone £6K to eat pizza - but there's a condition

Popular pizza chain Papa John's is on the lookout for someone to taste test its food - so if you're a fan of takeaways this could be your lucky day.

However, there's one big condition if you want to be in with a chance to get the role, you have to be a vegan.

This is because the pizza chain is searching for its next 'Chief Vegan Officer' - a job which requires someone to try out all of the vegan dishes before they go on general sale.

The required candidate will only have to work a minimum 8-10 hours a month between January and June next year, Manchester Evening news reports.

You'll be paid a sum of £100-£125 an hour, which works out at £6,000 altogether.

The successful candidate will be able to assist the head of research and development at Papa John's with creating new vegan menus and will "be the chain's eyes and ears of upcoming vegan trends.'

You'll need to have

10 facts about the history of pizza

- A food technology background

- A genuine passion for vegan food and trends

- A Food Science degree or similar

- Be a self-starter, curious and eager to help Papa John's develop new vegan innovations

- Excellent communication skills

The following are also desirable but not essential

- You'll need to have been a vegan for the last 18 months at least

- You'll frequently use #Vegan on their personal social accounts

- They have the ability to remove and avocado stone under 60 seconds

Feel like you've got what it takes? Email your CV and cover letter to papajohns@wcommunications.co.uk.

You can also apply on Indeed.co.uk or on Linkedin.

Best of luck!
