Paolo Nutini might not have been playing TRNSMT but he still managed to leave his mark at the festival.
There were rumours that Paolo had been spotted mingling backstage at the Glasgow Green festival on Friday.
And now we can reveal that Paolo sent a special message to Liverpool band Red Rum Club after hanging out with them in their home city on September 3.
Paolo and the lads appears to have struck up a great friendship and they have recorded at the same studios before.
Red Rum club admitted they were huge fans of Paolo and even covered some of his songs - and now the feeling appears to be mutual.
Paolo sent the lads a bottle of Curado tequila along with a very nice note wishing them the best as they played the festival this weekend.
He wrote: "To the bhoys from the one and only Red Rum club Welcome back to Glasgow lads.
"Hope you enjoy this bottle and have a great show today.
"Thanks again for your kindness and the welcome in Liverpool. I had a blast.
"Sorry I can't be there to have a shot with you all.
"I'm sure you'll smash it. Big love and may Bob be with you. Paolo x"
Paolo spent time at the famous Cavern club during his visit to Liverpool earier this month.
