Pantos in and around Liverpool you can still buy tickets for

Panto is as much a part of the Great British Christmas as turkey and tinsel and there's still a chance to snap up tickets for shows in Liverpool and beyond.

This year, more than ever, a good laugh could be just what the doctor ordered to lift our spirits in the run-up to the New Year. If you and yours have yet to catch a show, there are still tickets available for some performances across the North West, and we've found some of the best performances for belly laughs and family-friendly frolics.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears at the Epstein Theatre

At The Epstein Theatre in Liverpool, fun-loving theatre-goers can enjoy a star-studded performance of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Featuring Hollyoaks hunk David Tag as the Ringmaster, Olivia Sloyan as Goldilocks, local superstar Timothy Lucas as the evil Baron Von Vippenall, Brandon McCaffrey as Silly Billy and BTG’s Dame extraordinaire Mama G, the panto has been a huge hit with audiences since the start of December.

Hollyoaks actor David Tag will be performing as The Ringmaster in Goldilocks and the Three Bears at the Epstein Theatre (Epstein Theatre)

Packed full of madcap comedy capers and circus tricks that will make you catch your breath, tickets are on sale from just £18.00 and are available here. Be quick though, as this year's panto run at the Epstein will end on Sunday, January 1.

Mother Goose at Liverpool Empire

For those looking to keep the kids entertained during the half term and beyond, The Liverpool Empire is offering a short run of the family favourite Mother Goose from Tuesday, February 28 until Saturday, March 4.

Featuring a theatrical feast of fun and laughter, this big-name panto features the likes of Sir Ian McKellen (who appears out of a giant golden egg), John Bishop and Anna-Jane Casey in a rollicking romp full of ribald jokes, song, dance and much, much more. Tickets start from just £13 and are available via ATG Tickets, here.

Jack and the Beanstalk at The Albert Hall

Finally, fast-moving theatre fans could still bag tickets to see Jack and the Beanstalk at The Albert Halls in Bolton between now and the end of the month. Cheer Jack on his adventures with a celeb-fuelled cast that includes Maureen Nolan and Connie Hyde in this fe-fi-fo-funtastic panto that is suitable for audiences from 3 to 103 years old.

Limited tickets are still available for both afternoon and evening performances, and can be purchased directly through The Albert Halls online ticket seller, here.
