Panthers WR Torrey Smith tips his hat to Malcolm Jenkins for big 2018 play

This morning we found out that the Panthers will be featured next on Amazon’s streaming documentary series All or Nothing. That means we’ll be getting an inside look throughout the team’s 2018 season. One game we can’t wait to relive is the Week 7 matchup with the Eagles.

From the epic fourth-quarter comeback led by Cam Newton to Eric Reid’s sensational physical performance, it was one of the most memorable games in franchise history. Wide receiver Torrey Smith was directly involved in a few key moments, including one Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins shared on Twitter Monday. Watch Jenkins make a huge pass breakup on the sideline on a pass intended for Smith.

This was a tremendous read and play on the ball by Jenkins, who is one of the most underrated safeties in the NFL.

Smith later replied by sharing his version of what happened and admitted it was a hell of a play by Jenkins.

Smith got the last laugh though, as he converted on an instantly famous fourth and 10 play that set up the game-winning score for Carolina.

Can’t wait to see this one again.
