Panthers will host Washington State OT prospect Andre Dillard for a visit

Washington State is having its Pro Day today and Panthers general manager Marty Hurney is one of many NFL executives on hand.

The main attraction for the Cougars this year is offensive tackle prospect Andre Dillard, who is projected to be a first-round pick.

According to Clayton Holloway at NFL Network, Dillard says he has an official visit lined up with the Panthers, as well as the Texans, Vikings, Redskins, Ravens and Giants.

Carolina has been in need to an upgrade at left tackle for several years now. This offseason could be the team’s best chance to address it in a long time.

The Panthers already have two solid starters in Taylor Moton and Daryl Williams, who re-signed on a one-year deal. If they can add another promising OT like Dillard to the mix, it may just fix their biggest offensive personnel shortcoming.

At the combine, Dillard checked in at 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds to go with 33.5 inch arms and 10 inch hands. He posted 24 bench press reps and a 4.4 second short shuttle time.
