Panthers Week 8 injury report: Trai Turner in, Dennis Daley out at practice

One step forward, two steps back. That seems to be the theme with the Panthers’ injury reports this season – especially for the offensive linemen. Pro Bowl right guard Trai Turner is back at practice, but rookie left tackle Dennis Daley has joined Greg Little on the list of DNPs with a groin issue.

Here’s your first look at the Week 8 injury report.

Player Injury Wed Thu Fri Status
QB Cam Newton Foot DNP
OT Greg Little Head DNP
OT Dennis Daley Groin DNP
OLB Brian Burns Wrist DNP
OLB Christian Miller Ankle DNP
LB Shaq Thompson Ankle Limited
DT Gerald McCoy Knee Limited
G Trai Turner Ankle Full
CB Donte Jackson Groin Full
OLB Mario Addison Knee Full
G Tyler Larsen Back Full
TE Greg Olsen Finger Full
S Eric Reid Ankle Full

Daley was a late addition to the Week 6 report, but he was able to play against the Bucs in London. Hopefully he can go again, otherwise Carolina will likely have Daryl Williams lining up across from Nick Bosa.

As for Burns, he underwent surgery on his wrist during the bye week, which he injured slamming his fist into the ground Week 4 against Houston. The good news is his cast is off and he’s now wearing a brace. Burns says he’ll practice on Thursday and is definitely going to play this week.
