Losers of four straight contests, the Carolina Panthers need some help and they need it now. Luckily, they’ll be getting a pair of big boosts for their Week 8 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.
Sunday’s list of inactives from the team did not include linebacker Shaq Thompson nor cornerback Stephon Gilmore. That, of course, indicates the two defenders will be suited up and ready to go in trying to help Carolina get back in the win column.
Thompson has missed the past three games after sustaining a plantar fascia injury to his right foot in the Week 4 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Gilmore, who has not played since Week 15 of the 2020 season due to a partially torn quad, will be making his Panthers debut.
