Panthers Week 6 injury report: Donte Jackson returns, 10 players still out

The Panthers injury report still reads like a tragic 100-year old Irish novel, but they did at least get some good news today. Cornerback Donte Jackson is back at practice after missing the last two games with a groin issue. However, there’s still 10 names on the DNP list.

Here’s our first look at the Week 6 injury report.

Player Injury Wed Thu Fri Status
QB Cam Newton Foot DNP Out
OT Greg Little Concussion DNP
S Eric Reid Ankle DNP
OLB Brian Burns Wrist Full
G Trai Turner Ankle DNP
CB Donte Jackson Groin Full
TE Chris Manhertz Concussion Full
RB Christian McCaffrey Back DNP
OLB Christian Miller Ankle DNP
DT Gerald McCoy Knee DNP
LB Shaq Thompson Ankle DNP
OLB Mario Addison Rest DNP
CB Natrell Jamerson Foot DNP Out

Three-game winning streak aside, an NFL season is a war of attrition. This is going to catch up with Carolina eventually, but if the Panthers can get to the bye week without anymore major injuries and a record above .500, they should consider themselves very fortunate.
