The Panthers have released their inactives list for today’s game against the Texans.
Here is a look at who won’t be in the lineup this afternoon.
QB Cam Newton
G Trai Turner
DT Kawann Short
CB Donte Jackson
OL Bryan Witzmann
LB Jordan Kunaszyk
WR Brandon Zylstra
That’s four big names at the top, including the team’s franchise quarterback, their top two linemen and their No. 2 cornerback.
On the bright side, Carolina’s defensive line is so stacked this year that Short’s absence may not have a huge impact. The Panthers were able to dominate Arizona’s front five last week without him and they’re also getting Bruce Irvin in the lineup finally.
Elsewhere, Kyle Allen, Ross Cockrell and the entire offensive line all need to be on their A-game to avoid a 1-3 start to the season.
