The Panthers have released their inactives for today’s crucial road matchup with the Cardinals.

We already knew Newton was not going to play today, so the major news here is Short being ruled out with his shoulder injury. That means defensive tackle Vernon Butler will get his first action of the season. He was inactive the first two weeks.
Rokie QB Will Grier is available to play in his first real NFL game if anything happens to starter Kyle Allen.
Second-round pick Greg Little is also available. If Daryl Williams struggles against Chandler Jones like we expect, Little might get to sub in and show what he can do at left tackle.
