Panthers signing former Cardinals OLB Haason Reddick

The Panthers are signing former Cardinals outside linebacker Haason Reddick, according to Adam Schefter at ESPN and multiple other reports. The obvious connection for Reddick is with Carolina’s head coach, Matt Rhule – who coached him and several other current Panthers players during their time at Temple.

Arizona selected Reddick in the first round of the 2017 NFL draft. He mostly played inside linebacker his first few years in the league but really began to thrive when the Cardinals moved him out onto the edge last season. Reddick posted 12.5 sacks, 16 quarterback hits and 34 pressures. He also cut down his missed tackle rate from over 12% the previous two seasons to six percent in 2020.

Even better, Schefter says Reddick is signing a one-year deal that’s worth up to $8 million.

Reddick could be an excellent bargain at that price.
