Panthers rule Mario Addison out for Sunday’s game vs. Titans

The Panthers have ruled outside linebacker Mario Addison out for Sunday’s game against the Titans, per team reporter Max Henson.

Addison is not injured – he has missed practice all week due to a death in the family. Addison’s brother was shot and killed on Sunday night in Birmingham, Alabama.

Our thoughts are with Addison and his family at this time.

His loss is a significant one for Carolina’s defense. He leads the team with 6.5 sacks this season. With Addison out and Christian Miller questionable with an ankle injury, first-round pick Brian Burns should see his playing time increase significantly from last week, when he only played 32% of the snaps.
