Panthers rookie Greg Little still in concussion protocol

After leaving Thursday night’s preseason game against the Patriots, Panthers rookie offensive tackle Greg Little remains in the NFL’s concussion protocol. He has been out of practice since then, including missing Tuesday’s session.

Unfortunately, the Panthers have had some important players dealing with a number of concussions over the years, including Luke Kuechly.

Let’s hope Little never has to go through what former Panther Michael Oher did. Yes, Michael Oher of The Blind Side fame. Oher also played his college football at Ole Miss and played left tackle for Carolina from 2015-2016. He suffered a concussion in the third game of the 2016 season. Oher spent the next nine months in the protocol and eventually was released after a failed physical. Hopefully, Little gets back on the field soon and never has to deal with another head injury.

In the meantime, Daryl Williams is locked in as the Panthers’ starting left tackle.
