Panthers put 2 players on injured reserve, sign 2 defensive linemen

The Carolina Panthers have placed two players on the injured reserve list, ending their 2019 seasons.

Defensive tackle Dontari Poe suffered a quad injury in Sunday’s loss to the Saints. He underwent surgery on Tuesday. Left guard Greg Van Roten also went down with a toe injury in the same game. Both are now on IR.

As for their replacements, the Panthers have been trying to plug the holes over the last couple of days.

On Monday, the team promoted offensive lineman Garrett McGhin from the practice squad.

Yesterday, it was reported the team is signing former Raiders and Redskins DT Stacy McGee. That move is now otticial. The team has also signed Woodrow Hamilton, who was with Carolina during the summer.

The Panthers may not be done making moves. They released safety Rashaan Gaulden on Monday and haven’t added another DB as of yet.
