Panthers’ projected offensive depth chart following minicamp

Before we fully dive into summer break, let’s graze over our projections for what the offensive side of the Carolina Panthers’ depth chart currently looks like.

Under center

Position 1st string 2nd string 3rd string
QB Bryce Young Andy Dalton Matt Corral

Well, that didn’t take long.

After tasking the No. 1 overall pick with “earning” his No. 1 spot on the depth chart, head coach Frank Reich and the Panthers handed the reins over to Young right before the start of minicamp.

Position 1st string 2nd string 3rd string 4th string 5th string 6th string
RB Miles Sanders Chuba Hubbard Raheem Blackshear Spencer Brown Cam Peoples Tiyon Evans
FB Giovanni Ricci

Besides the addition of the undrafted rookie in Evans, the outlook here remains the same—with Sanders leading the bunch.

Pass catchers

Position 1st string 2nd string 3rd string 4th string
WR Terrace Marshall Jr. Jonathan Mingo Damiere Byrd Marquez Stevenson
WR DJ Chark Laviska Shenault Jr. Derek Wright Gary Jennings
SWR Adam Thielen Shi Smith C.J. Saunders Josh Vann
TE Hayden Hurst Ian Thomas Tommy Tremble Stephen Sullivan

The second-round selection Mingo has been turning some heads early on this offseason. He could rise up the ranks with an even stronger summer.

Offensive line

Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports
Position 1st string 2nd string 3rd string 4th string
LT Ikem Ekwonu Cameron Erving J.D. DiRenzo
LG Brady Christensen Chandler Zavala Michael Jordan Nash Jensen
C Bradley Bozeman Sam Tecklenburg
RG Austin Corbett* Justin McCray Cade Mays Deonte Brown
RT Taylor Moton Larnel Coleman Ricky Lee BJ Wilson

As Corbett takes more time to heal up from a torn ACL, the interior spots will be particularly interesting to watch this summer. Christensen and Zavala could battle for left guard, with the “loser” shifting over to the right to start the season.

The Panthers also have a veteran option in McCray, who has the most experience at right guard outside of Corbett.
