The Carolina Panthers put another player on the injured reserve list today. This time it’s offensive lineman Garret McGhin, who is done for the year due to an ankle injury.
Taking McGhin’s place on the 53-man roster will be former Colts defensive back T.J. Green, who the team claimed off waivers.
Green (6-foot-3, 215 pounds) played his college ball at Clemson, where he totaled three pass breakups and 5.5 tackles for a loss in 2015. Green also put in time as a kick returner for the Tigers. The next year, he was picked by the Colts in the second round of the NFL draft. He played 31 games for Indianapolis in two seasons, earning 11 starts and posting 85 total tackles.
