Panthers pick Alabama EDGE Christian Miller at No. 115 overall

The Panthers are doubling down on their EDGE rotation in the 2019 NFL draft. After using their first-round pick on Florida State defensive end Brian Burns, Carolina circled back round in the fourth and chose Alabama EDGE Christian Miller with the No. 115 overall pick.

Miller (6-foot-4, 244 pounds) didn’t see much playing time his first three years with the Crimson Tide. He had a breakout senior year though, posting eight sacks and 11 tackles for a loss.

One thing to know about Miller is he’s pretty athletic for a defensive line prospect. He posted a 38.5-inch vertical and a 118-inch broad jump at the combine.

Miller’s long arms (35.125 inches) and array of pass rushing moves should make him effective at getting to the quarterback at the next level.
