Panthers DT Gerald McCoy gives ‘Joker’ movie a thumbs-up

A lot of people will be lining up to see the Joaquin Phoenix ‘Joker’ movie this weekend. It sounds like Panthers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy has already gone and enjoyed himself. McCoy gave the flick a thumbs-up on his Twitter account Thursday evening.

In related news, a debate broke out in the locker room yesterday between McCoy and rookie Brian Burns.

According to Brendan Marks at the Charlotte Observer, the two got into a debate over whether Batman or Spider-Man would win in a fight. Naturally, Burns took Spider-Man’s side. McCoy disagreed.

While Peter Parker would have the advantage when it comes to strength, speed and agility, Bruce Wayne’s experience and savagery would likely give him the edge. That’s my #Analysis, anyway.

Bringing it back to football, Burns was named the Defensive Rookie of the Month for his sensational performance in September. The first-round pick totaled 2.5 sacks and nine QB hits. He has also gotten high marks from Pro Football Focus.

McCoy has been more quiet, but he has still made an impact – especially against his former team Week 2. The Panthers will need McCoy and the rest of the interior linemen to continue balling the rest of the year with Kawann Short on injured reserve.
