Panthers claim former Broncos/Rams tight end Temarrick Hemingway

The Carolina Panthers are shuffling the deck at tight end this week. On Monday, the team signed former Tennessee tight end Ethan Wolf and released Thomas Duarte. Today, the team has added another name to the depth chart. According to the official team website, the Panthers have claimed Temarrick Hemingway, who was waived by the Denver Broncos yesterday.

Hemingway (6-foot-5, 246 pounds) played his college ball at South Carolina State and was a sixth-round pick by the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams in the 2016 NFL draft. He played eight games with them as a rookie but was eventually relegated to the practice squad. LA released him in September of 2018 and he was picked up by Denver a couple of weeks later. Last season, he played in five games for the Broncos.

Hemingway has not yet recorded a catch in his 13 games. He will have to compete for a spot on the roster.
