Panthers CB Donte Jackson doesn’t like the way he’s portrayed on All or Nothing

Television may be great entertainment but that doesn’t necessarily make it your friend.

As Panthers fans are digesting Amazon’s eight-episode season of All or Nothing featuring their team, so too are their favorite players. Apparently, second-year cornerback Donte Jackson does not care for the way he is portrayed at all. Jackson went on a minor Twitter rant Friday night talking about how it does not accurately represent who he is.

Jackson started out by saying that the show low-key pissed him off and did him bad.

Jackson elaborated on that tweet 15 minutes later with a follow-up:

So, what’s Jackson talking about?

We’re still working our way through the episodes, but this particular clip of Jackson interacting with former cornerbacks coach Jeff Imamura could be a good example of what he’s talking about. (NSFW)

Jackson admittedly doesn’t come across great here.

However, keep in mind Amazon filmed countless hours of footage of these players and distilled it down. What we see in these episodes is a highly-selective version of reality. What these players do or say on camera only represents a fraction of the athletes and human beings that they are. People shouldn’t be judged based on one viral moment.

Based on the reactions to Jackson’s tweets, it’s clear Panthers fans agree and still think highly of him even if they think this was a bad look.
